A wonderfully mature set from Billie Holiday one of a handful of albums recorded in the final few years of her life  a time when she was pushing her craft even more, really leaving all of us to wonder how much more she might have grown, had she stuck around for a few more decades! The group here is a great small combo in the best Verve tradition with Ben Webster on tenor, Barney Kessel on guitar, Harry Edison on trumpet, and Jimmy Rowles on piano all players who have this nice way of bringing in a slightly broken down swing that works great with the vocals.
