A wicked bit of 70s funky fusion from Dizzy Gillespie – recorded with his old piano player from the 60s, Lalo Schifrin! Lalo arranged, conducted, and plays plenty of keyboards – giving the album a wicked groove that's a bit different than some of Dizzy's other 70s work – a bit fuller and more tightly arranged, but with all that heavy Schifrin funk firmly in place! The album's almost a blend of Dizzy's work for the Perception label and some of Lalo's soundtrack grooves – and titles include the dancefloor stormer "Unicorn", plus "Wrong Number", "Free Ride", and "Fire Dance".
