A fantastic cut from the Oakland scene of the late 70s -- one that's already got a pretty stretched out vibe on the main version, then really takes off on the extended cut -- which features a totally great Fender Rhodes solo! The groove is snapping with a bit of a boogie bounce -- almost more early 80s than you'd guess from the date -- and Karriem serves up positive lyrics about his love for a lady, but then really takes off on the keyboards!
