Born in Istanbul in 1933, started to play drums when he was 18 as an amateur. He became professional in 1953, then started playing in RADIO ANKARA, he formed his own group in 1958, and started his Jazz Programs in I959. He had his program as a "Jazz Disc Jokey" which he is been continuing till now. He played with D. Gillespie, Red Nichols, Herbie Mann, Woody Human, Benny Caner, Clark Terry. He has also played with Ellington side men like Paul Gonsalves, Rolf Ericson, Chuck Connors, Cat Anderson, Benny Carter. Harry Sweets Edison , Hilton Ruiz, Victor Sproles,Miliken University Jazz Band and many others. He is also a jazz lecturer, critic in Turkey. He has been leading his own combo since for 20 years.
Born in Istanbul in 1947, started to play piano when he was 5, with his father who plays violin. He is experienced in all sorts of music (Gypsy, Italian, Spanish, Russian etc.) In 1964, he started to play with different dan- ce hands. He switched to tenor sax, alto sax, soprano sax. Also plays acoustic bass, drums and organ. He is considered one of the best musicians of Turkey. He is composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist. Tuna Olenel has been playing with Erol Pekcan since 1973, giving Jazz Concerts, arranging for TV Orchestra and compo- sing. His international experience is with Benny Carter, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Karin Krog, Clark Terry, Hil- ton Ruiz, Victor Sproles.
Born in Istanbul in 1948. He attended Classic Conser- vatory of Music for a while studying piano, then switched to bass guitar and played in various dance combos. In 1974, when he joined Erol Peltcan Combo, he gained an experience playing in big bands, then he started ar- ranging for TV Orchestra, and for some records. He has a big interest in jazz, and studying Accoustic Bass presently. So far his only international experience is playing for singer Karin Krog from Norway.
