Formed in Bermuda in 1968, The Invaders are responsible for what is arguably the most sought after piece of Island Funk in history, their lone long player, 1970s Spacing Out. Full of funky breaks, Meters-esque guitar work, and tripped out horn lines, Spacing Out is not simply collectible because of its exotic locale, it is a stone funk classic that holds its own against such luminaries of the genre as The Meters, The JBs, and the Nite-Liters.

Υπάρχουν τραγούδια που όσες φορές κι αν τα ακούσω πάντα θα με συγκινούν.Έτσι και μ αυτό!Δεν ξέρω αν είναι η μπασογραμμή η φωνή της Καίτης οι στίχοι της Σώτια Τσώτου ή ενορχήστρωση του Κριμιζάκη.Σίγουρα είναι ένα απ τα 10-15 αγαπημένα μου ελληνικά τραγούδια.Ηχογραφημένο το 1971 ο δίσκος Φωτογραφίες ήταν η πρώτη δισκογραφική δουλειά του Γιώργου Κριμιζάκη.Την ίδια χρόνια το Ε! Ψιτ το τραγουδά η ηθοποιός Δώρα Σιτζάνη στην ταινία ''Αγάπησα ένα αλήτη'' σε σκηνοθεσία Απόστολου Τεγόπουλου με διαφοροποιημένους τους στίχους.Φυσικά δεν συγκρίνεται η φωνή της Σιτζάνη με την φωνή της Χωματά που σου σκίζει την καρδιά.

A 70s New York classic – the first and best album by Eddie Drennon! Eddie's got a unique sound that's part soul and part Latin – grooving here in a Latin Hustle mode that brings together gliding strings, floating chorus vocals, and a heavier funk-based set of rhythms that really kicks up the groove! Club diva Esther Williams is one of the singers in the group, and the mix of strings and funk is completely sublime throughout! Great cuts include the heavily funky (and often sampled) "Theme In Search", which has a very dark groove that we can't get enough of, and the club classic "Do What You Gotta Do" – but there's also loads of other nice ones, like "Let's Do It Again", "Please Stay Please Stay", and "Get Down, Do The Latin Hustle"
