Όλα ξεκίνησαν το 98 φοιτητής στην Θεσσαλονίκη όταν μετά από βόλτα
πέρασα μια από γνωστό δισκάδικο. Το “Spike s Choice” ήταν κάτι εντελώς
διαφορετικό στο άκουσμα. Πρωτόγνωρος ήχος για μένα και τόσο ακατέργαστος
….Τα” Damn it’s Hot “ “Hook and Sling Meets the Funky Superfly” “You
Better Thing Twice” “I Got the Feeling (διασκευή στον James Brown)”
ήταν πάντα στα dj set μου.
2002-03 δεν θα ξεχάσω,τα βράδια που μαζί με
τον κολλητό μου και κουμπάρο μου αργότερα Θεμιστοκλής Κυριαζής
παίζαμε Soul ,Funk και Hammond Jazz μουσικές στο Στρεφταρι. Πράγματα
πρωτάκουστα για το κοινό του Βόλου. H Ms. Jones ήταν παντα μέσα.Και όλο
και κάποιος/α θα ρωτούσε : Πως λέγετε το τραγούδι που παίζει??!
Το 2005 έρχεται το δεύτερο lp της “Naturally” παρέα με τους Dap Kings. Η
διασκευή στο “This Land Is Your Land” του Woody Guthrie την
απογειώνει. Ο κόσμος μαθαίνει τι είναι soul τι είναι funk.Τα ραδιόφωνα
αρχίζουν να παίζουν απ το πρωί ως το βράδυ “This Land Is Your Land” και
μαζί με την Ms.Jones και άλλους καλλιτέχνες και μπάντες όπως, τους The
Soul Providers τους Sugarman Three , Lee Fields , Spanky Wilson.
Χαμός…..
Για μένα η Ms. Jones, αν και παλιά καραβάνα, έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο στην αναβίωση της soul funk σκηνής των 00’s.

multifaceted albums of heinz in existance. Strangely the score got never
released and existed only as rumor in the soundtrack collector scene
because of some smashing moroderish disco and disco earwigs which pop up
several times during the movie. But also the psychedelic ambient long
versions tempel, lokal and the afro track eingeborenen tanz are scoring.
To 1975 στο φεστιβάλ Καννών προβάλετε το πορνογράφημα του
Lasse Braun (κανονικό του όνομα Alberto Ferro) με τίτλο
"Sensation".Το φιλμ προκάλεσε έντονες αντιδράσεις. Λογικό, αφού η ιστορία
έχει να κάνει με δυο Αγγλιδουλες οι οποίες ταξιδεύουν ως το Άμστερνταμ αναζητώντας
την απόλυτη σεξουαλική εμπειρία δίχως όρια και ενδοιασμούς. Προσπερνώντας το
στορρυ και παρατηρώντας τα πλάνα τη φωτογραφία (Falcon Stuart συνεργάστηκε με
Peter Blake και Robert Altman) την παράγωγη και την αισθητική βλέπουμε ένα αποτέλεσμα
που όμοιο του δεν υπάρχει. Ακόμα και η μουσική είναι γραμμένη εξ ολοκλήρου γι αυτό
το φιλμ απο κάποιον Richard Moore. Ένα mix απο prograssive rock,pop και funk! Δεν
ξέρω ποιος κρύβεται πίσω απ το όνομα Richard Moore. Ξέρω όμως ότι στο μπάσο ήταν
ο Adrian Shaw (The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown και Hawkwind) και στη παράγωγη
του δίσκου ξανά βλέπω τον Falcon Stuart ο οποίος ήταν μάνατζερ και μουσικός παραγωγός
αργότερα των X-Ray Spex,Adam and the Ants και της Danielle Dax. Τέλος το
Sensation είναι η πρώτη πορνογραφική ταινία που κυκλοφόρησε επίσημα στις ΗΠΑ.
Sensations is a 1975 hard core pornographic film written by Veronique
Monet and directed by Alberto Ferro. It stars the writer and Brigitte
Maier and features an appearance by Tuppy Owens. It was exhibited at the
Cannes Film Festival and became the first European pornographic film to
be distributed in the USA.
The music is a mix of prog rock , funk, and strange French 70s pop, with a small funk group backing.
A fantastic early record by Sahib Shihab – a motherlode of modal jazz
grooves, cut during the early days of the Clarke-Boland Big Band! The
record features a core group of players from that ensemble – including
Shihab on alto, baritone, and flute, plus Francy Boland on piano, Jimmy
Woode on bass, Ake Persson on trombone, Francy Boland on piano, Joe
Harris on bongos, and Kenny Clarke on drums – all coming together here
with a groove that's really groundbreaking – a style that's sweet and
soulful, but rhythmically revolutionary too! The tracks are all long
and grooving – with the kind of dancing jazz tone that you'd expect from
the Saba/MPS label during the mid 60s – a big change from the Argo
label that originally issued the record. But that's no surprise,
either, as the session was actually recorded in Europe by Gigi Campi –
the man behind the CBBB albums on MPS – with a feel that's quite similar
to other Shihab classics, like Companionship or Seeds. By Dusty

The record is lively, yet sophisticated – with strong arrangements by
Gaya and Moacir Santos, and a vocal approach by Nana that really moves
past the sweeter sound of other bossa singers – into a mode that's rich
with feeling, without sounding too overwrought or overemotional – in
sharp contrast to the style of Brazilian divas from a few years before.
