Cinedelic Records present a reissue of Musica Amore, the extraordinary
album by Maestro Piccioni originally released in 1972. Musica Amore
includes songs from various soundtracks showing Piccioni's many facets.

"Once and Again", from giallo thriller ...Dopo Di Che, Uccide Il

Gianni Basso and Dino Piana. An absolutely killer album with superb
arrangements, funky beats, exotic sounds ("Ebony Ride"), breaks, erotic
lounge, beat, shake ("Abigaille"), psychedelia ("Fiore Nero"), and jazz,
that stands as a key album in the world of Italian library music and

Early 70s psych folk from DR Hooker – looking pretty biblical in the
cover photo – with a spiritual tilt to some of the lyrics, but in a
pretty tripped out way – and a wild mix of styles, from easygoing,
approachable folk pop, to untamed, fuzzed out psychedelia! We were
expecting some laidback psych folk, and there is some of that, but also
some full on psychedelic rock – with a mix of acoustic & electric
elements, from guitars, to dobro, synthesizer, organ & piano, vibes
& other percussion.
Value American actress, novelist, singer and former model, who has lived
mostly in Britain and Ireland. She achieved national fame when she
appeared in London as Dionne in the long-running rock musical Hair. She enjoyed close relationships with Marc Bolan and Mick Jagger, who is the father of her only child Karis.
According to Hunt, The Rolling Stones' controversial hit song "Brown Sugar"
was based on her. She has written three novels, as well as three
volumes of autobiography, which include a frank account of life as a
breast cancer sufferer.

Detroit? Chicago? Well, no not at all. This 1968 release comes from a
German band playing some lush and dynamic soul pop with an emotionally
exalted vocal style that reminds a bit of Tom Jones at times. The songs
range from powerfully onward grooving booty shakers to striking melodic
tunes with great chorus lines that enlighten your spirit. When you take a
listen you will realize these folks had a sense for the classic beat
music of just a few years prior to this release and they really manage
to lay down a steaming performance on this style actually already
outdated back then. But since THE SOUL EXPLOSION spice up everything
with a dark and brooding back street club atmosphere at the right
moment, they could do what they want and always sounded exciting and
fresh. I could not have told the difference between these krauts and any
popular British or North American act in their genre. There is passion,
sheer lust, a wild and animalistic drive and an ongoing groove that
will mesmerize you. Technically this is a really solid group that knows
to let loose when it is time to but mostly keeps the energy flow under
control. I am certain that 60s fanatics who love the soul and early rock
fusion of this era will go insane. It might be one of these typical
exploito bands that were only studio projects done by the same musicians
on several occasions for good money to be sold in the bargain bin to a
willing audience. Well, we rather do not think further into that
direction since the music that appears on “Soul fire” strikes your
deepest inner self and sets your spirit aflame. The melodies are amazing
and if you go and check the rhythms you will end up shaking without a
chance to escape the everlasting pulse. This should have been enormously
big. Think of later day ANIMALS, THE FOUR TOPS and the EQUALS all
thrown into a mixer on full throttle, you might get something of a
similar quality. Oh, Baby, c’mon shake it with me, yeah!

Puccio Roelens may have his name on the cover, but the album's very much
a hip small combo date – one that features fantastic instrumentation
from some great jazzy musicians – but all of whom are playing on the
funkier side of their spectrum! The sound here is unique – almost an
early 70s extrapolation of the kind of mod grooves you'd find on a 60s
Italian soundtrack – kind of a jerk-into-funk vibe – touched with a few
mellower moments here an there, which feature some great tenor and
trumpet.
Sometimes, a singer can act like a star, even though their actual place
in the musical universe is far from the limelight – and that's
definitely the case here with Dennis Caldirola, aka Dennis The Fox – a
vocalist who's not afraid to brashly lay down his own lyrics that filled
with offbeat wit, weird warnings, and a sense of presence that hardly
belies the tiny circulation the album got at the time! The whole
thing's a stripped-down, virtually-homemade production – but it's also
one of those records that hardly knows that at all – and the group are
surprisingly tight at times, even ripping off The Meters pretty heavily
on one of the album's funkier tracks.

Vampyros Lesbos (Spanish: Las Vampiras) is a 1971 West German-Spanish horror film directed and co-written by Jesús Franco. The film stars Ewa Strömberg as Linda Westinghouse, an American who works in a Turkish legal firm. Westinghouse has a series of erotic dreams that involve a mysterious vampire woman who seduces her before feeding on her blood. When she travels to an island to settle an inheritance, Linda recognizes a woman as the vampire from her dreams.
The film was shot in 1970 in Turkey. It was a popular success in theaters in Europe on its release and was the first film to have a more psychedelic score for a Franco film and the first to have a lesbian theme as a prominent feature of the film. The film's score became popular in the mid-1990s when it was included on the compilation Vampyros Lesbos: Sexadelic Dance Party, an album that became a top ten hit on the British Alternative charts.
On a remote island, the beautiful vampire Countess Nadine Carody
(Soledad Miranda) lures unwary victims with her seductive nightclub act
and sets her sights on Linda (Ewa Strömberg). Linda begins having dreams
about Nadine, and seeks her home on an island. She is interrupted by
Memmet (Jesus Franco) who warns her not to go to the island. Linda
follows Memmet to his chamber where she walks in on him torturing a
young woman. She escapes this encounter and proceeds to the island. On
the Island, Linda meets Nadine. The two go swimming and Nadine notes
that the home they are staying at used to belong to Count Dracula.
After Linda begins to feel dizzy from drinking wine, Nadine takes her
to a room where the two have sex and Nadine draws blood from Linda's
neck. Linda later finds Nadine motionless in a swimming pool and faints.
The next day, Agra (Heidrun Kussin) appears in mental distress at a
hospital, where she claims to have visions of Nadine. She is under the
care of Dr. Seward (Dennis Price) who then treats her new patient,
Linda, who does have any memory of what she encountered with Nadine. At
Nadine's home, she appears alive and recounts to her servant Morpho
(José Martínez Blanco) about how she became a vampire and her obsession
with Linda who she wishes to become a vampire. Nadine uses her powers to
contact Linda to return to her island where the two drink blood and
have sex. On her return to hospital, Dr. Seward informs Nadine that to
remove herself from the vampire's curse she must split the vampire's
head with an axe or pierce it with a pole.
Linda is then kidnapped by Memmet. Linda's boyfriend Omar (Andrés Monales)
begins to search for her. Nadine later arrives at the asylum to have
Linda return with her where she meets Dr. Seward. Dr. Seward admits that
he only attempted to help Linda in order to draw Nadine to him so he
can become a vampire. Nadine refuses and has Morpho kill him. As Omar
searches for Linda, she is told by Memmet that all women, including his
wife Arga, who return from the island become insane which has driven him
to kill various women around the island. Linda manages to kill Memmet
with a saw and escapes to find Nadine. She finds Nadine at her home near
death in desperate need of blood to survive. Linda ignores Nadine's
plea and bites her neck and stabs her with a pole through her left eye.
Morpho commits suicide and Linda is found by Omar who tries to convince
her that the whole experience was a dream.
An incredible album from one of the greatest talents on the Chicago soul
scene of the late 60s – guitarist Phil Upchurch, a player with an
amazing sound! Phil could work in worlds that were equal parts soul and
psychedelia – making his guitar a perfect accompaniment for the best
Chicago soul of Curtis Mayfield, Donny Hathaway, Minnie Riperton, and
other greats of the time. This album's easily one of Phil's best – a
mindblowing set of arrangements put together by the groundbreaking
producer Charles Stepney – bringing together bits of jazz, rock, soul,
and funk – all providing the perfect genre-blending space for Upchurch
to solo! Given that there's no singer on the set, Phil's work on guitar
is a lot freer than you're used to hearing – in a really great way, one
that puts him in a space somewhere between Shuggie Otis and Jimi
Hendrix!

Davy Graham needs no introduction here, as he is one of the UK’s most
influential and legendary guitarists. Drawing on influences as diverse
as folk, jazz and blues, “Godington Boundry” is one of his later
classics, which has (incredibly) been out of print on vinyl for decades.

“With his unorthodox playing style, Davy Graham exploded onto the
1960s folk scene to become one of the UK’s most influential guitarists.
Drawing upon diverse folk, jazz and blues influences Davy flew in the
face of what was then deemed commercial, recording a string of
critically-acclaimed albums that reflected his exotic tastes. Revered by
his peers as much for his guitar prowess and for his musical integrity,
he is widely credited as the founder of ‘baroque folk’ and broke new
ground when he introduced elements of what might now be termed ‘world
music’ into his work. In keeping with the records Graham made for Decca,
“Godington Boundry” is an unashamedly esoteric blend of the influences
dear to his heart. As well as takes on the perennial ‘Worksong,’

GRUPA 220 was formed in 1966, in Zagreb, Croatia (ex-Yugoslavia) with
members of bands "Ehosi" and "Jutarnje zvijezde" . They had their first
gig in october the same year. In december they record their first song
"Osmijeh" which becomes a big hit right away. Very soon they become one
of the most popular bands in former Yugoslavia. Long hairs and "flower
power" clothes attracted lot of young people. Flowers were the tickets
for their concerts. In 1967 and 1968 Drago Mlinarec (vocal and guitar)
composed music for two films "Protest" and "Tri sata ljubavi". They take
part in "Zagreb 68" and "Split 68" festivals, and also first "Pop
festival" in Zagreb. Grupa 220 released the first rock long play record
in ex-Yugoslavia "Naši dani". They played as support band on the
concerts of Marmelade, Status Quo and Mungo Jerry when they were touring
ex Yugoslavia 1968. 1971 Drago Mlinarec leaves the band and goes solo.
Grupa 220 continues to exist and record without him till 1975 when they

Rita Lee of Os Mutantes and her friend Lúcia Turnbull's first outside
project, these recordings were done for Philips in 1973. Cilibrinas Do
Éden have played at Os Mutantes show in May 1973, at Palácio de
Convenções do Anhembi, in São Paulo. It was Cilibrinas' first gig. At
this show, Rita and Lúcia played with all the Os Mutantes backline, the
show appeared to be a psychedelic edge with Rita and Lúcia dressed like
some outside aliens for that time. They also dressed in colored clothes
and feathers like a progressive rock band. Never officially released on
vinyl or CD,
Now a group of Brazilian fans with European residence pick
the recordings and put them in this deluxe vinyl format, with only 500
numbered copies done.
This release contain also two rare outtakes from Os
Mutantes. You will certainly dig this if you like Mutantes: these
recordings are a mix of the psychedelic Os Mutantes with some glam-rock
freakness. Fantastic, professionally remastered sound, unbelievable
material for all the Os Mutantes fans, and one of the best lost albums
of Brazilian psychedelia!
P.S The original album was recorded, but never came out in 1973. I didn't want to merge this with the 2008 Brazil unofficial release.
This double LP by Sandro Brugnolini under the pseudonym of Narassa, is a
mix of funk and progressive rock with drums, electric guitar, organ and
flute lead the way. Recorded in early 70’s there are clear references
to those who at the time was the international rock and prog standard,
but clearly all reread and interpreted in the Italian style that
distinguished us.
Right in time for the midsummer comes the balearic porn disco soundtrack
sex feverreleased by vinyl of austria group – vienna distributed by
private records (berlin), . The original 1978 movie takes place on a
tropical island and features german (bravo) teen idols bea fiedler and
olivia pascal as main actors in a typical revealing sex & crime
story.The score was written and composed by austrian producer gerhard
heinz from vienna. This production is one of the most homogenous and
multifaceted albums of heinz in existance. Strangely the score got never
released and existed only as rumor in the soundtrack collector scene
because of some smashing moroderish disco and disco earwigs which pop up
several times during the movie. But also the psychedelic ambient long
versions tempel, lokal and the afro track eingeborenen tanz are scoring.
Fantastic funkiness! Although Les Baxter's best known for his easy
listening work in the late 50s/early 60's, this 1969 biker flick
soundtrack is a motherlode of funky funky tracks, and a veritable
cornucopia of breakbeats! Highlights include the classics "Hogin'
Machine" and "Hot Wind", but there's lots of other nice ones like "Soul
Groove" and "Scoobee Doo". The drums are nice and hard, and there's
plenty of fuzzy fuzzy guitar to go around nicely! A few tracks have
vocals, but the instrumentals more than make up for any weak spots.

underground cult classic Running The Mardi Gras by Boco. Those lucky
enough to find an original copy are paying upwards of $1000.00 for this
truly unique psych rock / funk gem on 45.
From the title to the sound to the cryptic lyrics “Running the Mardi
Gras” seems to confirm all the mystique that surrounds the southern
Louisiana Bayous and Cajun culture. This record is a family affair. It
started one morning when one Mr. Latour, the father of the group, was
shaving in the mirror and a song struck him. It was to be about Mardi
Gras, not the beaded revelry of New Orleans familiar to most, but the
traditions of rural Louisiana, where one would “run the Mardi Gras,”
going house to house getting home cooking from the neighbors. He would
sing the song every day in the car and the children of the family soaked
up the spirit of the song.
Playing and performing was just part of life for the family. Mr.
Latour had bought studio equipment for his children to record on, which
he kept in their house. Growing up in the shadow of New Orleans, the
Latour children listened to the sounds of Funk and R&B that came in
on the radio, which was the biggest influence on the family projects’
sound. Together the four Latour children, with the eponymous Boco Latour
on lead vocals, and a couple of local musicians recorded “Running the
Mardi Gras” in the Latour home. Feeling that they really had something,
the makeshift band decided to record a b-side. The guitarist had a song
he had been working on and they recorded what would become “Smile” as
well. The two songs were pressed under the Laughing Eye label, nothing
more than the heading under which the Latour family released their
music, and mostly sold the 45 at gigs around southern Louisiana. The
recorded output under Laughing Eye was understandably limited, but
locals still remember well Boco’s powerful voice from her shows in clubs
around the bayous. Boco and George Latour still live around Baton Rouge
and continue to make music and play in the area.By David Haffner
Beautiful grooves from the Italian scene of the late 60s – definitely
one of the lesser-known soundtracks of the time, but work we'd rank
right up there with the best by Piero Piccioni or Armando Trovajoli!
There's a fair bit of trippy sounds on the record – from fuzzy guitar to
weirdly watery keyboards – and tunes move between funky "jerk" and
"shake" numbers that almost have a sound library funk feel, to mellower,
moodier ones that sometimes feature wordless vocals from the great Edda
Dell'Orso!
